The Cameron Park Community Services District is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Hornstra as General Manager, effective March 22, 2026.

Mr. Hornstra has served as the District’s Parks and Facilities Supervisor for the past year, where he has demonstrated strong leadership, operational excellence, and a deep commitment to the Cameron Park community. During his tenure, he has overseen park maintenance operations, facility management, capital improvement coordination, and daily service delivery across District assets, ensuring high standards of safety, efficiency, and public service.

In his new role as General Manager, Mr. Hornstra will be responsible for directing the overall administration and operations of the District, implementing Board policies, leading strategic initiatives, overseeing financial stewardship, and continuing to enhance services for residents.

Interim General Manager Maurice Johnson expressed strong support for the appointment.

“Mark has demonstrated exceptional leadership, accountability, and a deep understanding of District operations over the past year,” said Johnson. “He has earned the respect of staff, the Board, and the community. I am confident that Mark is the right leader at the right time for the Cameron Park Community Services District, and I look forward to supporting a smooth transition as he steps into this role.”

Board leadership also expressed confidence in Mr. Hornstra’s ability to guide the District forward. His experience within the organization, understanding of District operations, and collaborative leadership style position him well to build upon recent progress and continue strengthening transparency, fiscal responsibility, and community engagement.
