Meet your Spanish Teacher, Sharon Caputo

Sharon Caputo has been teaching Spanish with Cameron Park CSD for five years. After retiring from public school teaching in 2022, Sharon knew she wasn’t ready to give up her passion for teaching. Her career began in Sunnyvale and took her to Merced and Cupertino before she settled in Shingle Springs in 1988. She later taught Spanish through EDCOE’s Extended Day Program and charter high school for more than 20 years.

A classically trained singer and lifelong dancer, Sharon brings music, movement, rhythm instruments, games, and language together to create a fun and engaging learning experience. She believes that learning a language goes hand in hand with understanding the holidays, customs, history, and traditions of the culture behind it.

Sharon’s enthusiasm for teaching is contagious, and her students will tell you that class always seems to fly by!
