Summer is hitting its stride, and July is packed with ways to celebrate, cool off, and stay safe in Cameron Park! Kick off the month at our Fourth of July Freedom Float at the Community Center Pool, a festive afternoon of swimming, music, and red‑white‑and‑blue fun. Later this month, Cannonball Cinemas returns with splash‑friendly movie nights that bring the community together under the stars.
Dive into July’s happenings and make the most of every sunny moment with us!
The CSD offices will be closed on Friday, July 3rd for the Independence Day holiday.
As we move deeper into summer, I’m pleased to share an update on recent activities at the Cameron Park Community Services District and reflect on the tremendous momentum carrying us into July.
We finished up June with a bang and another successful 25th Summer Spectacular event, which brought thousands of residents and visitors together for an evening of celebration, music, and fireworks. I’m proud of the CSD Team that showed exceptional coordination across departments—parks and facilities, recreation, fire, and administration—along with the dedication of our amazing volunteers and community partners. I also want to give a very special thanks to airshow pilots Julie Clark, Chuck Wahl, and Mike Brewer who put on an incredible show. The positive feedback we’ve received underscores how meaningful this tradition is for Cameron Park and how effectively our teams delivered a safe, welcoming, and memorable experience.
Our teams across the District have been hard at work supporting a busy season of recreation, facility improvements, and community engagement. Summer programs continue to grow, with strong participation in aquatics and youth camps, and staff are preparing for fall and winter programming. At the Community Center, the Rec Refresh concession stand is providing additional amenities to help us better serve residents throughout the week. If you haven’t been to the Farmer’s Market at the Community Center on Friday mornings yet, you are missing out on the best locally grown fruit and vegetables, as well as local artisans and baked goods.
Across our parks and facilities, crews remain focused on high‑priority maintenance, safety improvements, and finishing up weed abatement activities. At Cameron Park Lake, summer visitation continues to rise, and staff are actively managing seasonal maintenance, water quality treatments, and visitor services to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience. Their work is essential to keeping our public spaces clean, accessible, and ready for the community during the busiest months of the year.
As always, I’m grateful for the dedication of our staff, the leadership of our Board and the engagement of our residents. Together, we’re continuing to build a vibrant, connected Cameron Park—one program, one event, and one project at a time.
Sincerely,
Mark

Cameron Park enjoyed a fantastic event at this year’s Summer Spectacular!
July is here and we are still enjoying great weather. This month also brings reminders of respect for our community and for our neighbors.
Recreational Trips:
As we enjoy our recreational areas this July, please remember to keep your frontage clean and clear while you’re away on holiday.
We need to remember to store our recreational equipment and not have it sitting out in the frontages of our household. This is not a good look for the neighborhood and can make it difficult for neighboring homes that are up for sale.
Our CC&R officer reviews neighborhoods regularly to observe frontage compliance.
The CC&R officer regularly looks for the following items:
· Trailered items: Boats, house trailers, cargo trailers, car trailers, dump trailers etc. All trailered items are to be stored behind a Cameron park fenceline or off site.
· Trash and storable items: There should be no unsightly items in your frontage. This includes landscape materials, appliances, trash, and vehicles being repaired.
· Unapproved ARC projects: Any projects found requiring ARC approval will receive a violation notice. ARC fees are doubled when starting the project prior to receiving your Cameron Park ARC approval. Items that require an El Dorado County permit will be reported to the County.
*Note: Non-operational vehicles need to be stored in your garage or behind the fence line. Cameron Park does not manage abandoned vehicles. Vehicles without current registration tags may be turned into the CHP by your neighbors.
Architectural Review (ARC):
If you are planning on exterior improvements, adjusting fence lines, or installing a structure like a shed, gazebo, or landscape, you need to apply for ARC approval. All exterior improvements or changes to your existing structures require this approval. If you complete a project without ARC approval, you may receive a complaint or violation to correct the project or get your approval at double the review fee. Both will be costly and could result in additional penalties. Applications for your new project are on our website.
ARC & CC&R Committee Volunteers: The Architectural Review Committee (ARC) and the Covenants Conditions and Restrictions Committee (CC&R) have 1 opening on each committee. If you would like to serve your community on a regular committee, please check out our website. The volunteer section will provide guidance on how to get involved and apply.
Enjoy your time out with family and friends and please be safe out there.
