J.R. Hichborn has been a resident of Cameron Park for 37 years and has dedicated the past 25 years to the parks and recreation field. He has served the Cameron Park Community Services District for 18 years and currently works as the Park Superintendent for the Mission Oaks Recreation and Parks District.

Throughout his career, J.R. has been committed to improving parks, recreation programs, and community spaces that bring people together. A strong believer in community involvement, he has volunteered many years coaching youth soccer, baseball, and basketball.

J.R. is also a proud single father to his 17-year-old daughter and values the role that parks, sports, and recreation play in building strong families and communities.
