DYS (Develop Your Skills) Futsal League

Join the DYS (Develop Your Skills) Co-Ed Futsal League that is changing the way soccer players are developing their technical skills and advancing their footwork.

Futsal is an amazing game that sharpens first touch in arguably the most efficient and effective way, with methodology that is play-based and incredibly result-driven.

A group of kids playing soccer indoors, with spectators watching in the background. Time is displayed on a scoreboard.

The game is played in the gym on the basketball court, 5 players vs 5 players (4 Field players and a goalie). Subs are critical for this fast-paced game and are rotated on the fly to keep the game moving, 6 players minimum per team and 8 maximum to support play time and player development. Half-court warm-up time (approximately 13 minutes) is provided for teams before delivering two 20-minute halves with a 3-minute halftime. The smaller field of play without walls creates constant pressure situations: 1) From other players, 2) From out-of-play boundaries.

Players must learn to settle the ball immediately, cut sharply, shield effectively, pass quickly, and move into space, all done with a weighted futsal ball with less bounce and fewer players on the field, promoting ball mastery and the proper body mechanics and technique that will naturally and seamlessly transfer over to the outdoor game.

Important Program Notes:
  • The Gym floor must maintain a very clean surface to ensure player safety and ensure a surface players will find traction and have optimal mobility. One entrance only with a wet towel, where all who enter can clean their shoes before admittance.
  • This Co-Ed Futsal League is where all the players are provided a place to play and focus on themselves, their teammates, their coach, and the referee. All spectators must be aware that there is No Coaching or directing the players from the stands, and this includes hand gestures.

Scheduling of Games

Scheduling is unique as players and teams are evaluated week to week to adjust and expose all involved to an optimal playing environment for effective development.

  • Thursday 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Only 4 time slots for Thursday Night play - all ages with adult play possible 8 pm to *10 pm
Adults over 22 interested in playing with other adult players, please contact me for more information if interested in this NEW exciting opportunity, with later time slots possible on Thursday through Sunday.

  • Friday - 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm -
    • Friday also has limited space and provides an option for Futsal Teams conflicted on both Saturday and Sunday. Thursday and Friday are great options for those unable to play on the weekend. .
  • Saturday & Sunday - 8:00 am to 9:00 pm
    • Typically, younger players will be scheduled in the mornings and early afternoons, with older players filtering in as the day goes.
    • The older and most advanced players are usually found in the later time slots, but all can vary and are subject to change.
    • Consistent play time is not ideal for youth players to diversify their opponents; I factor in many moving pieces to optimize development.

Requests for specific days and times each week make things impossible to schedule; however, it is important to notify me the weekend before (one week's notice) about outdoor soccer games and unavoidable conflicts, such as weddings, vacations, etcI need to know when a player is unavailable to avoid wasting valuable time adding them in as I construct the schedule week to week.

Adult players over 22 years old will form a pool that will play late evenings, and we will regulate as we play. Advanced players will migrate together while less advanced players will do the same, with evenings designated to manage this *NEW offering.
