CC&R and ARC News

Preparing for the Fall Season.

As we enter the fall season, the CC&R department would like to remind you of items to prepare before the cold rains approach.

Roof and Gutter:

It’s a good idea to make sure your roof and gutters are clear of leaves and debris. If you do not have gutter guards, you may need to complete this process several times throughout the season. This will help avoid gutter damage, roof leaks, overflows, and dry rot.

Watershed, Culverts, and Ditches:

Cameron Park needs its residents to help clear the way for stormwater runoff. Our stormwater system is primarily an above-ground drainage system that relies on all landowners and residents to clear culverts, swales, and ditches on their property, which comprises the interconnected drainage system for stormwater. Please keep all leaves and debris out of your watershed. Each landowner has a responsibility to keep clear culverts, swales, and ditches on their property. This includes your culvert pipe under your driveway entry and any watershed coming from a neighbor’s property. Cameron Park CSD is not responsible for enforcement over one property owner’s watershed to another. This is a neighbor and homeowner’s responsibility.

Unfinished projects:

It’s time to complete your projects and button them up for the fall season. Please do not leave materials out in your frontage. Even if they are tarped and tied down, they are not permitted to remain in the frontage. Many of us have wood piles used for stove fires. Please make sure these wood piles are secure and safe. For safety requirements, please contact our local Cameron Park Cal Fire Department for safe storage of your firewood.

Be safe and enjoy yourself!

Thank you for keeping Cameron Park a special place to live.

El Dorado Disposal - Waste Collection

El Dorado Disposal is urging residents to properly dispose of batteries and battery-embedded items to prevent fire hazards. Batteries should never be placed in the trash or recycling; instead, tape the ends and place them in a designated battery bag. Disposal locations and hours are listed for Placerville, Cameron Park, and El Dorado Hills. Residents can also use the Waste Wizard tool or app to request battery bags and learn more about safe disposal practices.
