The Skate Park located at Christa McAuliffe Park (2400 Merrychase Dr.) will be closed starting Tuesday, January 4th due to an increase in graffiti and vandalism. Currently, there is not an estimated time of reopening the skate park. During this scheduled closure, the district will be repairing the damage and implementing nighttime lighting, increasing surveillance equipment, and adding appropriate signage. Please understand that it is always our goal to keep the park maintained and open, however, to guarantee a safe functioning Skate Park, we need this time to order new parts and make repairs. Thank you for your patience and understanding. 

We are also pleased to announce we intend to upgrade our Skate Park web presence with a new Skate Park web page that is more interactive for the community and will include links to special events, volunteer information/sign-ups, and information on forming a Skate Park association and committee meeting. The district is looking for individuals who are interested in being part of a committee that meets on a regular basis to discuss on going issue at the skate park.
