Updates from the Recreation Department!
Hello! We are glad you found your way to our new Summer Recreation Info tab.
We know that summer of 2020 will no doubt look a bit different than what we had originally planned, but we remain hopeful that we will be able to connect with our residents again soon and would like to take a moment to express again how much we miss you! Over the past two and a half months since the Community Center has been closed to the public, the quiet hallways and empty classrooms have certainly made us more grateful for the people that once were shuffling in and out. From our BINGO players once a month, our 50+ Room table gamers, to our swim teams almost every day, and everyone in between, we miss each and every one of you.
We are very excited to unveil our new Virtual Recreation Center for families and community members to find resources for recreational activities at home. Additionally, we have will be running FREE virtual kids programming as a bit of a trial on June 4th, 9th and 11th from 2:30-3:30pm. Specific information on what each session will entail as well as login information will be listed on our Virtual Recreation Center page. We are very excited for some of the fun things we have in store and we hope you join us!
We ask that you please note that all of the programming we do have planned this month is very fluid and we will add and adjust as new guidelines continue to come out. Our goal for June is to simply re-connect with you. Some of the fun things we have planned are a Zoom Bingo game, A Family Trivia Night, as well as Kid Movie Dates in the Assembly Hall and a plans for a DIY Backyard Family Campout. As soon as all of that information is finalized, we will be promoting these events on social media and right here on our website. Please stay tuned!
